Ok blog

This weekend has been folklife. Met some new people, mostly losers. Didn't buy anything.

My birthday was a few weeks ago, it was only okay. Didn't get my license. Don't know when that's happening.

Got a new phone, the Omnia II, that one on the commercial that broke the texting speed world record. It's cool i like it, but it's so slow and stupid i want to smash it sometimes. And yesterday i ran into the fountain at seattle center and my phone fell out! But it ended up being fine which i'm grateful about.

Nothing else is new... My grades are ok i'm actually really worried about history though.

You know what? i'm blogging

I'll do a liz-style blog too

So i haven't blogged in the longest time! I'll start from purple + white.
So i didn't get froshed in the fall of freshman year. At the purple+white bbq at school, Travis Yuh ('10) basically kidnapped me and put me in his SUV along with Kat Hirai. He took us to 520 (I had to tell him how to get there, lame!!!!) and joined up with Bacari Weaver, and they threw eggs and flour on us and made us chug syrup and food-smoothie and jump off the bridge. It was scary but fun, and we had to get into the water to wash off anyway. unfortunately, with the flour in my hair, in the water it turned into dough and it wouldn't come out! So we got back in the car with some towels and they took us back to bacari's house and let me change. They're hella nice. Then they took me to the keg at Seward Park, and i was the ONLY freshman they made play Edward 40-Hands!!! jerks. At least i didn't get paddled. Then they put me back in the car, i fell asleep, and they took me to KFC :] i got some mashed potatoes. Then they took me to the dance. What a great experience. Then they took me home! Great night.

Summer, I had a week of break between school and summer math class, even though i still had drivers ed 3 times that week. It was a GOOD week, a very good start to summer!
Then i started my math class, 3 days a week, monday tuesday thursday, for 5 weeks. It wasn't horrible. During the actual class, we just took notes on math lectures, i had a very good teacher (Elizabeth Burton), then we had like 2 hours in class to start on our 3-to-6-hour assignments. Like, i kid you not they were SO LONG every day!!! But i got through it with an A :] As result, mom took me to get some highlights in my hurr and dad came through with his promise and bought me an iPod touch for my birthday (which was skipped!!!)

But like on my last day of the class I was sleeping over at josie's house, then we went over to Husky Stadium late at night and walked around, sifted through some construction materials, then we went into a bathroom and found a bunch of mini-fridges! Also, we found keys to a bunch of like concession portables, which i still have. boss! So we figured the minifridges were broken and we could take one home, so we found a rolly cart thing and rolled it out of the stadium, but a cop got in our balls about it and made us go home. That was gay.

Then the rest of summer i basically went to Las Vegas and hung out with my friends a lot. Then school. Of course, i got a schedule with NO friends, along with getting health with Ms. Dowell!!! she's the biggest bitch in the world!

I have to describe Ms. Dowell to you. She actually patronizes and insults kids to their faces in front of the entire class. Her classroom is a windowless dungeon in the basement floor of the Quincy Jones building. She MAKES you buy a 3" binder, no less, and carry it to class every single day. In the binder you have to take PERFECT cornell notes (level 2 or 3 questions, notes, summaries) on a bunch of chapters from the textbooks, do vocab perfectly, and if they're not in the right order then GOD SAVE YOU!!! Also in the binder is a section for assignments and worksheets. About 3 times a semester you turn in your binder and she checks it, if your cornell notes aren't in the right order, you get a 0. Same goes for vocab. If your essays aren't on the BACK of the question sheets, and they're on a separate sheet of paper, you get a 0 on the entire assignments section. Also, we have a journal in our binder, which we have to write in everyday about a prompt she puts on the board like "Do you agree that you must work hard to achieve things?" or other stupid gay shit like that. If you don't have dates following your journal headings, you get a 0. So basically, out of 200 points, i scored 35 on my binder because my notes and vocab were out of order (BARELY out of order, mind you, i just didn't put the 2nd quater notes in front of the 1st quarter ones) and dropped my grade to a C. That's just great. She also does things like, this kid Jack in my class lost his binder or something, so he made him call his mom in front of the class to tell her he was being kicked out of class. How horrible is that???? And basically like 4 days a week she just has us be completely quiet and take notes out of the textbook for the whole hour. i hate that class. Also she holds us in class after the bell rings for like a minute. Basically she expects things very very very specifically, but she is very implicit about letting us know what they are. So everyone who takes that class fails. It's horrible. F MY LIFE but i'm DONE with that class on wednesday. :D Like literally i didn't exaggerate any of that.

So other classes i've been taking are LA10H, with Cram, who's hilarious, and currently i have a 96 in that class because i did an extra credit essay and have been getting good grades on my essays in the past few weeks. It's hilarious because everyone in that class hates how i sleep in class and have such a high grade. So funny! I'm also taking AP World History with Scharf (lol) so i basically just go to class, listen to my ipod and fall asleep, or finish jap homework or something. I mean i like Scharf, she's just such a terrible teacher.

I'm also taking Japanese 3, which is hard, but Antoncich sensei came back after having her baby and she really likes me. I keep coming up in her life, it's hilarious, like she told the class how she had a dream about how i refused to do this japanese dance with the rest of the class so i did it myself in a ratty t-shirt and sweatpants. Then, i did this speech about how i respected JWoww from Jersey Shore, and she told me how she told her friends and they were horrified. LOL. Then a few weeks later we changed seats and i got moved to the front, and one day i came into class and was like "Sensei! I did my homework!" and she high fived me and was like "Lauren you're like a rockstar. When i came into this class last year and you were with Muraki and you talked talked talked talked talked all class long i thought i'd strangle you and get fired and go to jail. But you turned out to be this homework-doing rockstar!" and i really appreciated it. ^_^ I have a low B in japanese with no hopes of improvement, because i'm not good at kanji at all, but we have a skit coming up and it's going to be BOSS, i'm in charge of props. Also last week we had a Japanese jeopardy for a test review, and i answered the highest-value question under the grammar section! i was so proud of myself :']

Also i'm taking AP Calculus. I'm good at math so it's a breeze, but there's this ONE girl in my math class, I wont name any names let's call her Milton Clancy, i HATE HER and she HATES ME. Like she's really stupid (a junior) and all class long she talks and talks and talks until SHE has a question about what's happening on the board. When Ms. Princess has a question, she screams at everyone around her "you guys! be QUIET!" she's so annoying i swear to god! It sucks being a sophomore in AP Calc because all the juniors hate me, and all the sophomores hate me! That's just great. There's this other girl named Pamela who's also a bitch, she's so stuck up. This one time she was eating an avocado and she was just like "such a good fruit, if it IS even a fruit." and i was like "an avocado is definitely a fruit..." and she was like "well, aren't fruits supposed to be juicy?" SHE'S SO STUPID that's actually something so stereotypically stupid Paris Hilton would say it. But there's this guy in Calc that i sort of like, and i got my friends to ask him about winter ball but he said it was too expensive so he wasn't going. Thanks a lot dude, i already turned the other guy down holding out for you and you pull this crap. THAT'S GREAT!!!

So I have genetics with Ms. Suits, who is also one of Patty's coaches. She likes me because i'm smart in that class, but Hanna and Marin and Jacquie are in that class so we talk a lot and she hates it. I love genetics. There's this girl Ebony who's just hilarious, all the time. There's also this kid Kendall who Hanna, Marin, Jacquie and I decided to bother, and he hates us, LOL!

So that's my school life, not too great, but the semester is ending next week and i'm going to have 5th period Web Design with Marin!! WE'RE SO EXCITED! I already took my math final, and the only other final i have next week is Health, which is going to be a bitch. Boss. I might have a genetics final but it'll be a breeze.

I'm going to start volunteering at the YMCA as a member services assistant in the next few weeks, get my hours out of the way. I'm pretty excited, i'm just afraid it'll take up a lot of my time... :/ Oh well.

So there's not much else going on, i have some homework to do today, not too much. I have to get the jap skit props together too.

I'll write again eventually, blog, bye.

OMG LIFE?!?!?

So my computer was just reformatted. I lost all my music, and i thought i'd be able to get it back on from my ipod...... well, i can't.
Lame!!!
I've been taking guitar (electric) lessons and my teacher thinks i'm coming along very nicely, which i'm happy about. i can't wait until my fingers are all muscly and calloused, i think it'll come easier then.
i'm flossing as i write this.
i've been turning in all my bio homework early lately. I just feel productive this week.
I never have much to write about.
Sorta issues with boys, nothing to write about really.
In Zero by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs she sounds like Susan Sarandon.

wicked ridiculous!

I searched my blog on google too! "I'm not a boss, I don't coon"
With quotes, it's the only result.
Without, it's second from the last... ON THE FIRST PAGE!!!11

How crazy insane. Sooo!!! This week has been relatively homework-less. Good for me! Up till today, I had to fill out a biology worksheet based on information we're supposed to find on the internet. Also, today, I did my math POW (Problem Of the Week), which is this super long problem with a page-long write-up. It was this lame thing about reproducing rats and their population increases. But I wrote this extremely well-worded write-up and I'm most likely going to get 100%!

I'm doing suuuper well in math class this year, really on top of things. I for the most part get that night's homework done in class in addition to the classwork, and get 10/10 on work about 96% of the time. At the semester change, a bunch of people had to switch out of Math 3H because they were getting a C or below and were placed in regular Math 3, including the senior in my class and John. That's so embarrassing.

ANYWAYZ, on Wednesday we had 2 hour early dismissal! I went and hung out with some Montlake homies then got home JUST in time for piano lesson, taking the bus. x-treme skillz.

These days I'm trying to go to bed exactly AT or before 10pm. A few nights ago i felt crappy so I went to bed at 10 and woke up the next morning without yawning ALL the way until I was in the shower. Nice! Good rest!
Also these days I'm trying to drink 4 bottles of water a day, 16.9 ounces each. Because water's good for you! But mom said that i best not drink it all at once because one lady was in a water-drinking contest and she drank SOOO much water her cells burst and she died. Woooah!

Oh yeah. So school's having a tolo, a dance where the girls ask the guys, and I was GOING to ask this one guy but mom scheduled California on the same date. Lame! But I feel better because he's not going to be in town on tolo either, so I know he's not going to go with someone else. : ]

I haven't washed these sweatpants in so long, maybe I'll wear something different tomorrow. just maybe.

rutabaga

the correct spelling is rutabaga.

haha

I asked him (dad) how to spell rutabega and he says "I don't actually know. I guess I've been exposed as a rutabega poser."
